As my car moved near the park, I could barely see as it was dark. A girl sat in one corner near the lamp post eating a jellied toast. She was just staring with dark innocent eyes. She was crying and could not stop however she tried. The poor girl was all torn apart. After looking at her unhappily, I could not depart. If it made a difference anywhere, I wanted to make a noble start. I went close to her and she got afraid. My sudden appearance was like that of a police raid. I gave her a Milky bar, she smiled and then twinkled like a star. I decided to do something to give her joy and comfort. I wanted to be her pillar of support. She ate all the food and said, thank you, uncle, I love you. The joy in her eyes was very true. I went and did some shopping. She enjoyed it all as we did some talking. She told me she lived nearby in a hut. I told her to take me there, no ifs and buts. Inside lay a lady paralysed and sick. There was only one bed and a clock that ticked. I gave her some money and told my name. She was not accepting the money out of shame. The baby girl’s name was Rishi and she looked glad. For whatever, I had done and what she had got. The girl was looking at me with joyous eyes wild. I breathed satisfaction and blessed the child as the wind blew mild.
