The Indian

There was lots to indulge in, there was plenty of fun for the NRI Rohit. There was money, fame, name and frivolities in America where he resided. But his love for his country from him never subsided. He made his partner of life an Indian commoner, he could not compare and rate his lady love’s capabilities being less than any foreigner’s. He worked hard and earned lots but nothing could remove the trust and devotion for his country and countrymen which he had in his mind slots. If ever anyone used to underrate his country he would erase the big mouth smile and decorate it with a super frown. He would take back and set right in the position where should lie the Indian crown. One day he went to a shop to have a snack and overheard a conversation wherein demeaning India and its people an American was having tremendous recreation. He said Indians were black and backward, to mingle with them was a hazard. He also said that India was a country of the poor and wretched, it could for itself recognition never fetch. Rohit got up in a fit of rage and knowing that it was his stage, just kicked the man hard and boxed his way through. The man was shocked at such a bold move. There on the scene took over a nasty fight. ┬áHe would not let him go unless he had set the things right. He kept on pulling and pushing and thrashing him hard. Soon the man fainted and Rohit painted his face black. No one could say that living in a foreign land in his courage for the right, there was any lack. Everyone including the Americans clapped loud. About Indians and their qualities removed was the black cloud. Rohit had made a noble mess which was needed in the veins of the bad man, knowledge he had fed. The man with his stupidity had proved to be a hi-fi comedian. While Rohit with his grit and courage had proved to be a sober and strong Indian.
