Shimla, the paradise of India

A poem on Shimla ,its beauty and my experience of it.

When we decided to go to Shimla, we were very happy, because it was such a great hill station. And had great views, malls, scenes to mention. We stayed at Hotel Himland West and made our plans. The first among them was to go to Fagu Valley a famous site by van. It was a superb sight, we had to go all the way by horses. The chilly winter breeze was at its highest. Our bodies were shivering and we tried our best to be modest. It was a place where shooting for big banner movies were done, now to see it real and close was so much fun. Then we went to another place, an apple orchard, Naharkatia whose apples were very  special. People talked, kid played and I got busy filling them in my vessel. Then we visited a temple and decided to stay there for the night. As my family ate lots, I satisfied myself with just some bites. In the bright morning, we ate Bhature-Chole and saw sadhus carrying snakes and saying all the way, bam bam Bhole. I was also longing to go boating and visit the famous Mall Road and the outing was just   great. But as much as I tried I could not steer my boat straight and it got quite late  after doing lots of shopping in Mall Road. I had to on way back carry all the load. It was tough and I just wanted to say, now it’s enough. Our next destination was the famous Chail Palace and I saw the shooting of a Punjabi movie being done there. But I spent my time admiring the insides of the palace with all the furniture and gorgeous photos of the King and queen intact and it got me hooked so much that I kind of with the big eyes just stared and stared. I also visited the skating rinks with so much of snow. It looked nature’s most beautiful show. Finally we returned to our hotel and relaxed. And I recalled my day and ended up playing with a statue of wax. After more moving, grooving and fun our trip to Shimla ended being the best. It really put my heart in joy and tensions at rest. There could be nothing more heavenly than Shimla. It rocked .And my interest on it got forever locked. I still remember it like the other day. It had been a yoohippieyoo, memorable stay.
