The Drama

An idea of a drama which turned into a comedy show.

The story started with some of the friends trying to enact a drama. The writer wrote the script and now the cast had to be decided. The drama was titled Ramayana. On the D-day the actress was late to come. The actor in himself had no dum. He took notes of the character of Ravana and started to sing songs of Sawana. The actress came dressed awkwardly in red. She was yawning at eight in the morning as if she wanted to go to bed. Ravana had loose motions and he delivered his dialogues wrong. The director now with so much of turmoil was finding it difficult to keep himself intact and strong. Lakshman was smiling and telling, ‘I love you Sita.’Ram was relaxing and eating papita(papaya). Then all of them got up and started to dance onstage. And the director stormed off the set in a rage. The audience were having a fine time and could not control their laughter. The cast started singing songs in Hindi and it all looked like a comedy show. It was sadly and amusingly for the director a big, fat, ugly blow. Somebody said, ‘lower the curtains’. But the audience said they wanted more of this mad entertainment. The story according to the director could not become a hit and the director said, shit. He came back and started to beat the staff in a phata pyjama. In this way, came an end to the great drama. It became a comedy flick with stupid fights, uncommon situations and great absurd gaanas and the audience got to beat the cast with a bahana. The director was in a very stupid situation. He was finally after going crazy and being made to donkey-ride was advised now it would be better to start selling apples and bananas.
